Throughout our history Scisense has fostered a policy of strong community involvement.  This involvement includes financial and volunteer support for local and national events and organizations.  Following are some of the ways we get involved:

• Our company plays an active role in entrepreneurship mentoring through programs such as Summer Company at the Small Business Centre and Entrepreneur 101 at the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

• Scisense is a founding Board Member of TechAlliance South-western Ontario, an association of technology companies in the London region.

• We are a past board member of the London Small Business Centre, the Biotech Incubator (now the Stiller Centre for Technology Commercialization) and the London Chamber of Commerce.

• Scisense is a founding member of the new London Medical Device Research Institute.

• We encourage company-wide participation in local events such as Biotechnology Week.

• Employees at Scisense carry out fundraising events for various charities through pot luck lunches, dress-down Fridays, staff social events and through voluntary contributions.  Our team has raised funds for the following charities this year:
  
  Women’s Community House
  Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation
  Canadian Diabetes Association

We have also derived much of our financial support from local investors, engaging them in supporting their own community and helping to pave the way for the creation of an investor group that will benefit other technology companies in the region.
